Disable Shutdown Event Tracker in Windows Server
Introduction
When you click on Shut Down... from start menu, the Shudown Event Tracker pops up asking whether you want to Log Off, Restart or Shutdown the computer.If you decide to Stut down or Restart the machine, you will be given Shudown Even Tracker option to choose. Theses will alow you the best describle why the computer is to Shutdown or Restart. You can all so add componet in the Comment box.
Disable the Shutdown Event Tracker
Go to start menu > Run....., type gpedit.msc and click ok button.Click on Computer Configuration > Administrator Templetes > System > select the "Display Shutdown Event Tracker" setting in the right hand panel.
Double click this setting to open the Properties page. You can choose Disabled option to disable the shutdown event tracker.
Note: after you change the Group Policy, open the Command Prompt and run the
gpupdatecommand to refresh the policy.
